At the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in crisis and supporting families in need. We know that parenting is hard and can become completely overwhelming when parents don’t have the support they need. The Crisis Nursery provides 24-hour care for children birth through age twelve at five Nurseries & support for families at eleven Family Empowerment Outreach Centers throughout St. Louis, St. Charles, Southern Illinois and surrounding regions.
The St. Louis Crisis Nursery is seeking an energetic, experienced and solutions driven Director, Human Resources to join our team. This role will report to the CEO and provide strategic HR partnership to the leadership team and support the organization’s mission through effective day-to-day HR practices. The HR function plays a key role in developing our talent, ensuring top performance and maintaining our positive team culture.
The Director, Human Resources will be responsible for leading all aspects of the HR function, including strategic planning support, benefits administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and talent management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to support succession planning and talent reviews
- Support organizational development and culture initiatives
- Lead and direct talent acquisition processes including onboarding and new staff training
- Lead organization benefit programs and payroll processing
- Create and facilitate training programs to support and develop leaders
- Support employee relations matters
- Lead and ensure compliance with all federal and state employment law regulations
- Direct risk management processes and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, 3 years proven working experience in Human Resources with 1 years of proven leadership experience. Experience in a non-profit setting is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment labor laws. SPHR, PHR, or SHRM certifications preferred.
Compensation:
$75k - $100k
