Licensed Practical Nurse - Inpatient Rehab

Job DescriptionThe Opportunity : Saint Luke's South Hospital located in Overland Park, KS is seeking a LPN at our destination rehabilitation institute. This position provides care to a variety of conditions and treatment plans including : stroke, neuro, spine, transplant, and trauma rehab patients. This medical surgical nurse position performs assessments, administers medications, IV therapy, care planning and more while collaborating with various care team members including therapists, providers, and other ancillary departments.This is a great opportunity to work with leading rehabilitative technology and robotics in a new facility. Our rehabilitation institution is a destination center enhancing how we provide rehabilitative patient care in the Midwest. This team has low patient ratios with competitive benefits.Shift Details :

• Self scheduling
• Weekend requirement - 4 weekend shifts in a 6 week period
• 3, 12 hour shifts per week (6 : 45pm-7 : 15am)The Work :
• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines, and proceduresTo be successful in the position, you will need to be flexible, adaptable, open to feedback and eager to learn. Rehab experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with IV Medication, IV Therapy, Dialysis, Transplant, or Neuro is also a plus, but not required. Strong communication with a desire to work with a care team to provide patient care is important.
