Since 1896, Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City Crittenton Children's Center has served as the region's premier psychiatric care provider for children, adolescents, and their families. Crittenton is licensed as a psychiatric hospital by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and licensed as a Child Placing Agency and Residential Child Care Agency by the Missouri Department of Social Services-Children's Division.

- The Director of Patient Care Services assumes accountability for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of services within assigned departments.
- Working cooperatively with the Medical Staff the Director assumes a leadership role in planning, developing, and implementing programs and services which support the mission, vision, and strategic direction.
