What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient representative position at Saint Luke's Health System?
Job Description
Provide customer service and seamless entry to patients, families, physicians, physician offices, the community and internal departments throughout SLHS.
May include, but is not limited to; pre-admission, main and emergency registration, insurance verification, and other duties as assigned to promote the overall reduction of days in A / R such as billing and collection reports.
This individual may also be responsible for determining financial accountability, notifying / collecting of up-front patient financial responsibility, providing information and referrals.
Candidate must exhibit excellent customer service skills with knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service and telephone courtesy.
Position requires being able to maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality and dignity at all times, consistently striving for the utmost in patient satisfaction.
Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team as well as independently with a high degree of accountability.
The Patient Access Representative will include Out Patient Registration and Emergency Department Registration, which could include days, evenings or nights and holidays.
