This position is responsible for leading the clerical workflow within the clinic and assisting with training clerical staff. Responsible for covering vacancies and assisting the Supervisor and Manager as needed.
- Leads clerical and administrative workflow within the hospital department and regularly assists with training clerical staff.
- Meets, greets, directs and schedules patients and visitors.
- Provides coverage or coordinates coverage for other clerical and administrative positions, as needed.
- Assists Business Supervisor and/or Hospital Clinic Manager with tasks as needed.
- Assists with patient complaints and/or billing concerns.
- Assists with deposits and hospital charge entry as needed
- Demonstrates exceptional de-escalation skills
- Assists with training new staff
- Potential to occasionally work from home
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field preferred
- At least 3 years of healthcare ambulatory experience plus at least 2 years within the department
