Description
The Summer Resident Assistant (RA) is responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive residential community while providing support to summer residents. This role includes enforcing policies, coordinating activities, and assisting with housing operations to ensure a safe and welcoming living environment.

Responsibilities
Community Development & Engagement
• Build a sense of community by engaging with residents and facilitating interactions.
• Plan and implement social and educational programs for summer residents.
• Serve as a resource to residents, addressing concerns and connecting them with campus services.
Policy Enforcement & Safety
• Uphold and enforce college policies and residential life guidelines.
• Conduct regular rounds of the residence hall(s) to ensure safety and compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents as needed.
Administrative & Operational Support
• Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and room inspections for summer residents.
• Maintain accurate records of resident concerns, maintenance requests, and incidents.
• Provide on-call responsibilities
Qualifications
• Must be a current undergraduate student in good academic and disciplinary standing.
• Prior experience as an RA or in a leadership role is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
