- Secretary
- Records all business conducted at SAB meetings
- Posts weekly meeting minutes for the board to access
- Coordinates SAB correspondence, including cards/gifts/memorials to appropriate recipients
- Records member attendance at meetings
- Ensures the committee chairs are maintaining committee records
- Treasurer
- Coordinates the financial affairs of SAB
- Maintains accurate and timely records of the individual committees and the overall SABbudget
- Provides monthly financial reports of the SAB budget
- Conducts periodic audits of all SAB committees
- Prepares and submits annual budget reports to SGA executives if requested
- Regularly touches base with the Coordinator for Student Organizations regarding SAB budget and spending
- Responsible for submitting check and sponsorship requests via the appropriate channels
Qualifications
- All potential members must be registered at Saint Mary’s College, and be a candidate for the baccalaureate degree during the entire course of their term.
- All students enrolled at Saint Mary’s College in good academic standing (Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher) shall be eligible for membership on SAB.
- All students seeking membership on the Student Activities Board must be ambassadors of Saint Mary’s College
- A board candidate must demonstrate professionalism, organization, and accountability.
- A board candidate must be comfortable and confident working closely with administration
- A board candidate must be committed to this constitution and the principles in which the Student Activities Board is founded.
- Procedures
- Executive Members will be chosen through an interview and application process.
- The current President will work with the rising President in selecting the rising Vice President.
- The rising President and Vice President will select the remaining Executive Members.
- The rising Executive Board should be chosen by the final few weeks of the Spring semester.
- Assistance in the selection process may be sought out from the Director of Student Involvement who may also serve as a tiebreaker vote in any decision stalemates.
- Executive Members will be chosen through an interview and application process.
