Saint Mary's College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Art History. This full-time sabbatical replacement position begins August 2025 through May 2026.
Saint Mary's College, with an enrollment of approximately 1500 students, is a Roman Catholic, residential women's college committed to the liberal arts tradition. Located in South Bend, Indiana, adjacent to the University of Notre Dame, and 90 miles east of Chicago, Saint Mary's is ranked among the top 100 liberal arts colleges in the US News and World Report annual surveys. Students and faculty in art history have access to the collections and programs at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame.
Qualifications
PhD with teaching experience required. Qualifications include dedication to undergraduate teaching, ability to offer an upper-level art history course in candidate's area of expertise, and ability to teach art history Survey I and Survey II from a global perspective.
