Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN is seeking applications for an open rank, tenure-track faculty position in Speech-Language Pathology. The SLP department at Saint Mary’s is robust with programs including a Bachelor of Arts in SLP, a 4 1 program, a bridge program, and a Master of Speech Language Pathology and houses the Judd Leighton Speech and Language Clinic.
This is a full-time, 9-month position with a start date of August 2025. Applications will be reviewed starting March 10th, 2025.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across the undergraduate and graduate Speech Language Pathology curriculums. Candidates with additional expertise in one of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply : Later Childhood Language Disorders, Speech and Hearing Science, and / or Fluency.
The teaching load is 6 courses per academic year across the undergraduate and master’s levels. Research and scholarship in their area of expertise and service to the department, college and community are also required. The department seeks a future colleague with a collaborative mindset and dedication to the College mission.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology, research doctorate, or related field.
- An ABD from an accredited institution, in the US, in Speech-Language Pathology or related field will be considered if the degree will be completed within 1 year from the start date and the candidate has a strong background in teaching and / or clinical experience.
- Strong record or potential for effective teaching
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices in diverse and inclusive contexts and communities.
