What are the responsibilities and job description for the RRT or CRT - Respiratory Department position at Saint Mary’s Regional Health System?
Respiratory Therapist - responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, organizing, implementing the assigned activities for continuity, and quality of patient care. Performs within the scope of practice as stated in the Respiratory Care Practice Act of Arkansas, Standards and expectations of the institution, as supported by the mission, vision, and core values of the institution and the corporation. Practicing under the direction of a physician, assume primary responsibility for all Respiratory Care therapeutic treatments and diagnostic procedures. Assists in Respiratory Care Operations and other duties, as assigned. Evaluate and treat all types of patients, ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people whose lungs are diseased.
