Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists with a Certified Surgical Tech Certification.
- Primary Source Verification of professional license, and/or certification, as required for the position. Ran within 30 days of start. Updated upon expiration.
- Must score 80% or higher.
- Signed by employee.
Additional Details
We require that all employees have completed primary dose series per CDC guidelines/medical or religious exemption using form # PHSI-320-022 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
We also require proof of two vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. The annual respirator fit test is mandatory, including onsite testing for 3M 1870 . If you were previously tested on the same model within a year, please bring documentation.
Please note that declinations are not accepted at Shasta Regional Medical Center. You may decline the vaccine but will be required to wear a surgical mask from Nov. 1st to Apr.1st or longer if extended by the local health department at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
You must have completed the Quantiferon or T-Spot test within the past year with a negative result OR two documented negative PPD skin tests within the past year at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. A driver's license, State ID, or Passport is also required.
At Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center, we require proof of two vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer. Please note that Rhode Island Hospitals do not accept declinations, per the Dept of Health.
If your Quantiferon, T-Spot OR PPD skin test is positive, a negative chest x-ray within 3 months of the positive test is REQUIRED at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. The Relias exam must be completed annually, except in Nevada where it must be completed within 60 days of start. You must state clear to work.
A National Criminal Background Check must be completed within one year of start date. This must be done after all other credentials are uploaded and with most up to date information. A JPEG only photo with a clear headshot from shoulders up with a solid plain background is also required. Facility specific photos may be requested prior to clearance.
