Computer Science Teacher (Full-Time)
Saint Paul Diocesan Jr./Sr. High School, a Catholic co-educational school serving students in grades 7-12, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our faculty. This full-time position involves teaching a variety of technology and design courses aimed at fostering digital literacy, multimedia creativity, business applications, and web development skills among students.
Courses to Teach:
Digital Literacy & Creative Design (Grades 7-8, 1 Semester)
•Introduces students to essential digital skills and creative problem-solving.
•Topics include Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, digital storytelling, graphic design (Canva, Google Slides), and beginner coding (Scratch, Tynker).
•Emphasizes online safety, responsible technology use, and critical thinking.
Multimedia & Digital Design (Grades 9-12)
•Covers graphic design, video editing (Photoshop, Premiere), animation, and 3D modeling (Blender, TinkerCAD, Adobe Animate).
•Encourages storytelling through digital media and creative portfolio development.
Business Office Applications (Grades 9-12, 0.5 Credit)
•Focuses on professional communication, financial literacy, spreadsheets, digital advertising, and entrepreneurship.
•Includes real-world applications such as stock market analysis, personal budgeting, and cybersecurity.
Introduction to Web Design (Grades 10-12, 0.5 Credit)
•Introduces students to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development tools like Wix.
•Covers responsive design, multimedia integration, interactive elements, and professional portfolio development.
Job Requirements:
•At least 1 year of relevant teaching experience preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Education, or a related field preferred.
•Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
•Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students in hands-on learning.
