General Information
Position Summary:
The individual in this position installs, operates, upgrades, and maintains all PeopleSoft applications including Financial, Human Resources (HR), and Enterprise Portal; and acts as the lead on projects to architect, implement, enhance, and test PeopleSoft systems and applications to meet dynamic business needs.
Supervision Received and Exercised:
- Reports to Business Systems Support Manager.
Responsibilities:
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:
Systems Administration
- Creates the PeopleSoft database, web, and application servers in a multi-instance environment.
- Provides expert troubleshooting for isolating technical problems in the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) including Oracle database, Tuxedo, and Weblogic application running on UNIX and Windows.
- Builds, configures, debug and support PeopleSoft applications in a multi-instance multi-network environment.
- Supports the development and testing efforts of PeopleSoft developers and analysts.
- Provides ongoing day-to-day operational support for production applications.
- Oversees environment creation, database refreshes, change management, migration of objects/code, performance tuning, and production support.
- Analyzes issues with SQRs, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Process Schedulers, Application Servers, Application Messaging, and Web Servers.
- Develops, tunes, and debugs SQL statements within Query, Application Engine, and native SQL.
- Works with Infrastructure team members (Network, Windows and Unix Administrators) to build and deliver services.
- Provides quality formal and informal documentation consistent with organization standards.
- Implements and maintains application security.
- Participates in a team approach to detecting and resolving database locks, run away processes, and printing issues to meet SLA commitments.
- Proactively monitors and supports the health, performance, and integrity of the databases systems.
- Establishes coding standards for SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and logical and physical schema design; and enforces them within the development staff.
- Works closely with other technical staff to support and maintain the PeopleSoft system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Considerable knowledge of PeopleSoft applications, including financial, human resource, and enterprise portal applications.
- Considerable knowledge of PeopleSoft security development.
- Considerable skill in utilizing PeopleTools 8.52, PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 or higher, PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 or higher, Process Scheduler (UNIX and Windows), Application Server (Tuxedo), Web Server (Weblogic), Application Designer, Data Mover, Integration Broker, SQR, Crystal, Change Assistant, Upgrade Assistant, shell-scripting, and ORACLE 10g/11g.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Considerable ability to set up PIA, servers, Integration Brokers, single sign-on; install SSL certificates; and apply Weblogic patches.
- Considerable ability to tune App and web server configuration and debug App engines/SQRs, App Engines/SQRs/nVisions, workflow and PeopleSoft security.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor¿s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of PeopleSoft administration experience including installation; support; troubleshooting; monitoring; optimization; SQL tuning; applying bundles, service packs, and patches; and application and PeopleTools upgrades.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Special Qualifications
- Minnesota Driver¿s License may be required.
- Other knowledge, skills, abilities, and credentials required for a specific position.
PAY, BENEFITS & WORK SCHEDULE
This is a 12 month position working 40 hours per week.
