The 340B Program Analyst will:

Collaborate with the 340B Pharmacy Program team to develop daily,

monthly, quarterly and yearly audit metrics insuring compliance with 340B

program requirements and guidelines.

  • Participate in monthly self-audits of 340B pharmacy operations documenting

procedures for presenting and resolving reconciliation issues as they arise

during the monitoring and reconciliation process.

  • Regularly perform spot audits or compliance assessments of specific areas

and specific products to ensure the CDM is accurate, charges are coming

across accurately, and that the utilization numbers are translating accurately

into the report for 340B reorders.

  • Monitors and audits state Medicaid claims to ensure compliance and or

event potential duplicate discounts.

  • Identifies gaps in program performance and assists in development of

action plans to resolve identified issues.

  • Audit patient records to determine if prescription written is from an eligible

clinic or hospital location, by a covered entity provider, and the prescription

is related to the care received at the covered entity documented in the EMR.

  • Develop formal written reports to communicate audit results to clients and

make recommendations, as appropriate.

  • Regarding staff, develop and assign proper 340B quality assurance training

and provide proactive education on policies and procedures related to

inventory management and 340B procedures.

  • Routinely reviews and monitors all points of service where 340B

participation occurs to ensure policies and procedures are followed, entities

qualify, and all encounters qualify under the regulations.

  • Develops, monitors, and presents reports on 340B participations which

clearly documents utilization, savings, problem areas, or discrepancies, to

be passed to Pharmacy leadership and health system leadership and

administration.

  • Manages relationships, billing services, and compliance with contracted

340B pharmacies (e.g., Rite-Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Internal, and others).

  • Each quarter, perform a thorough review of the 340B pricing list, searching

for costly changes to be detected quickly and addressed.

  • Maintains knowledge of current professional trends and practices through

participation in professional organizations and attendance at seminars,

conferences and other continuing education programs.

  • Establishes understanding and relationships with Finance to monitor for

changes that could affect 340B qualification, such as changes to the cost

report, variations or negative trends in DSH percentages that could impact

340B qualification.

  • Performs other responsibilities as requested by the Manager(s), Pharmacy

Services, or Director of Pharmacy

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medications, as well completion of 340B University on Demand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and financial software.
  • Must be able to act independently, have meticulous follow-up skills, organizational skills, prioritization skills, and experience working in a team environment.
  • Must be able to interpret rules and regulations and be able to formulate into compliance audits.
