Birthing Center is seeking a part time Nurse Practitioner, IBCLC Lactation Consultant to join the team.
The Nurse Practitioner, Lactation Consultant IBCLC will:
- Provide direct patient care, within the limits prescribed by training, and in consultation with a supervising physician.
- Assist with patient follow-up.
- Document all aspects of patient care promptly.
- Assist in developing APN role in Genetics, to teach other department personnel.
- Assist with planning, developing and implementing of patient education activities, as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors
- Demonstrate competency in knowledge and skill necessary to provide care to provide care to specific age-related populations
- Assist with setting and revising practice policies.
- Assist with routine paperwork.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Current Advance Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey
- Current CDS and DEA required
- Master's degree in nursing required
- Two (2) years' experience in specialty strongly preferred
- Certified as a nurse practitioner in the State of New Jersey within area of specialty
- BLS certification, as approved by the American Heart Association
- IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) certification.
