Bilingual Pediatric Speech Therapist
Our pediatric therapy team is seeking a skilled Bilingual Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our team.
Job Summary :
The Bilingual Pediatric Speech Therapist will evaluate and assess neonate, pediatric, and adolescent patients with speech, language, and voice disorders, as well as oral motor / feeding disorders. They will develop and perform therapeutic treatment programs, document findings, and communicate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluates and assesses each patient using various objective tests and measurements, as well as clinical observations, appropriate to the patient's age and developmental stage.
- Develops a proper therapeutic treatment plan of care and anticipated outcome for each patient, in accordance with a written and signed physician's order or prescription.
- Performs treatment plans through use of various therapeutic positioning and facilitation techniques, age and developmentally appropriate activities, patient / parent / caregiver education and training, and orders adaptive equipment to assist patients in reaching their maximum performance levels and achieving outcomes as appropriate.
- Documents initial assessments, reassessments, and progress notes for each patient, in accordance with established department policy and procedure.
- Ensures all treatments / procedures / protocols are performed based on established standards, demonstrating competency in performing all treatments / procedures / protocols and use of equipment within the scope of speech therapy practice, as appropriate to the patient's age, growth, and development through the life cycle.
