Job Description:
St. Philip’s Episcopal School is seeking to hire a School Counselor for PreK3 - 5th Grade. The School Counselor plays a crucial role in supporting the academic, personal, and social development of our students. The School Counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to address student needs and promote student success. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting students and families
- Run small groups that focus on specific needs of students
- Collaborating with school staff to support student needs
- Maintaining accurate records
- Presenting to parents and faculties on trends and research
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years (3) experience as a mental health professional in a school setting.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to analyze, interpret and explain student data and student evaluations and prescribe action for student improvement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to conduct meetings in small and large groups.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Self-starter, problem-solver, and multi-tasker.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is beneficial
