Be a part of the Saint Therese - St. Mary of the Woods Community! We are looking for an experienced Part-time Cook to work in our 5-star healthcare facility. The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the direction of the Dietary Supervisor. Part-time schedule will work from 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., and includes working every other weekend and every other holiday.

Qualifications
Education:
- Culinary degree or certification (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).
- Background in nutrition or specialized diets (mechanical, pureed, low-sodium, diabetic diets etc.).
- Must possess at least one year of experience cooking for a large number of people; preferably in an institutional or facility-based setting.
- Must have the ability to quantify recipes at the level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and their families, take directions from supervisors, and work cooperatively with other employees.
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance and take pride in their job.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local health regulations and pass a post-employment-offer physical exam. This requirement includes drug screening, criminal background check, and reference screening.
- Must have the ability to read and write in English and follow oral and written directions.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodations.
