What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastoral Care Associate position at Saint Therese?
We are seeking a full-time Pastoral Care Associate to serve seniors with compassionate, supportive care at Woodlake at New Hope loction where we believe that every day should be filled with comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging. Position: Full-time day hours, every 4th weekend rotation, and holiday rotation
Location Information
Woodlake at New Hope offers a continuum of care and services available. This care center has 258 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 224 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.
Responsibilities: Provide spiritual support and guidance while walking alongside residents, family members, and team members in their faith journey within a Continuum of Care Community setting. Work closely as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team that creates valuable moments when providing support and meeting the needs and interests of individuals with acute challenges, hospice focus, palliative care and dementia based diagnosis.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Theology, Pastoral Studies or related field experience desired. Completion of the Clinical Pastoral Experience (CPE) desired.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The interpersonal skills needed to work with distressed and anxious residents, families and staff.
- The communication skills necessary to counsel residents, families, and staff.
- The analytical ability to assess patients spiritual needs and sense of well-being and find appropriate solutions to resident problems.
- A commitment to those experiencing anguish and distress.
- A commitment to excellence in customer service. Always kind, warm and welcoming displaying Christ like values.
- Comfortable with prayer and spirituality.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office.

Wage range $20.77 - $28.19 per hour, depending on experience
