What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning Specialist position at Saint Thomas Academy?
Saint Thomas Academy seeks a part-time (0.6 FTE) Learning Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year.
Reporting to the office of Student Services, qualified candidates are willing to embrace the mission of
Saint Thomas Academy and the philosophy of the Student Services Department.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 20 students on Learning Plans
- Proctor extended time exams for students on Learning Plans. This may include being a scribe or
- Maintain frequent and effective communication with parents, students, faculty, staff, and
- Create, implement, scan, and download learning plans and accompanying documentation
- Responsible for monthly college scholarship newsletter
- Coordinate ACT and College Board accommodations for students with learning plans
- Coordinate early College Counseling outreach to underclassmen
- Support College Counseling with test prep and standardized testing
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate degree and experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred

SALARY RANGE
$40,000 – $48,000 ($66,000-$80,000 full time equivalent)
