What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning Assistant - Student Employment position at Saint Xavier University?
A learning assistant works alongside the course instructor during specific allotted times and offers academic support and assistance to students in a targeted class. The course instructor is present and works alongside the LA during class or at specific times and is a course requirement.
LA's are expected to attend class as designated by the instructor of the course.
Federal Work Study is NOT a requirement

- LA's answer questions, facilitate discussion, and assist the instructor of the course.
- Additional administrative responsibilities, as assigned.

- Must be enrolled as a SXU student
- Must have an A in computer science class in which you want to tutor
- Must be able to complete all staff development responsibilities
- Must exhibit appropriate and professional behavior at all times
- Must be friendly and enjoy working with people
- Up to 5 hours per week
