The Writing Studio is part of the SXU Learning Center, assisting all students in the areas of writing, speaking, and reading.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist students at all levels (undergraduate to graduate) with improving reading comprehension, and their understanding of the writing process.
Assist students with their academic, professional, and creative writing assignments. Such assistance may involve helping students with MLA, APA, or Chicago formatting and researching or writing in their discipline.
Help students at any stage in the writing processfrom brainstorming to revising and editing.
Assist the Learning Center staff with student tutor trainings and developing / delivering writing workshops for the university throughout the semester.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 5-years of experience in education.
ELL education knowledge preferred
