Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Aide to support the educational environment and assist teachers in providing a nurturing and effective learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with diverse needs, and will contribute positively to the classroom atmosphere. This role is essential in fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students.
1. Assist with getting meals and snacks, and setting up mealtime items
2. Assist with toileting, diaper changes, and washing children's hands after using the bathroom, or having a diaper change.
3. Apply positive behavior management tools.
4 Assist with classroom and playground supervision.
5. Maintain good relationships with families, and children.
6. Set up and remove materials and equipment used for children's activities, and
keep storage areas tidy and organized. Ensure furniture, floor coverings, toys and equipment are kept clean and properly maintained following safe and hygienic standards.
.7 Participate in meetings and staff development days.
8. Serve as a valuable member of the team by creating and applying effective communication lines with other team members and providing support to them.
9. Assist the teacher, and assistant teacher with anything they ask.
Requirements
CPR and First Aid Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained.
There are no education or experience hours required to become an aid.
Job Type: Part-time
