WANTED: Head Soccer Coach / Assistant Soccer Coach

Saints Soccer Academy is a growing youth soccer club based in Portland. Our primary practice fields are Delta Park, Portland State, Moore Street/Salvation Army, Roosevelt HS, Jefferson H.S., Under Armour Field and Columbia Park. We’re looking for several Coaches for our various youth teams, age 6-13. We are looking to fill these openings and have our successful candidates start immediately.

The successful candidates will possess the following background and qualities:

EXPERIENCE

Previous soccer coaching and/or playing experience at a high level.

A passion for the game of soccer and the development and guidance of young players.

Teaching or coaching experience in a school or athletic setting.

Excellent communicator. Ability to relate to young people.
Extremely high ethical standards.
College degree preferable, but could be substituted for experience.
The ability to be a strong and positive role model for players on and off the field.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
Preparing weekly coaching plans.
Coaching 2-3 practices per week. All practices take place after 5pm Monday-Friday.

Coaching 1-2 games each weekend during season.
Meeting with Director of Coaching to review team strategy and progress.
