Affholder Construction is looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team in Austin, TX. The HR Coordinator will play a key role in managing on-site HR operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting workforce management on-site. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced construction or industrial environment. This position will work in conjunction with headquarters HR team.

- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in recruiting and onboarding skilled labor and staff for the project.
- Coordinate on-site orientation and provide on-site support for online orientation sessions.
- Maintain employee records and documentation in compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Employee Relations & Workforce Support:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees.
- Assist in addressing grievances, complaints, and conflict resolution in collaboration with site managers.
- Facilitate communication between employees and upper management regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment for all site personnel.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws in conjunction with other department designees (Safety, etc.).
- Track and coordinate employee certifications in collaboration with Safety department.
- Work with safety officers to implement workplace safety protocols and report incidents.
- Assist with training both on-site and employees accessing our online learning management system.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience in a similar setting.
- 2 years of HR experience, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of federal and Texas labor/employment laws.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
