Job Summary
We are seeking a Director, Digital Operations to lead our digital operations function at Saks Off 5th (SO5). This critical onsite role is based at our Photo Studio in Pottsville, PA and requires collaboration with cross-functional groups to get items live on the website, ensuring the best shopping experience for our customers.
Main Responsibilities
• Direct scheduled and unscheduled events determined by sales, business initiatives, and buying opportunities, ensuring teams work towards targets and communicate progress to partners, especially in case of missed deadlines.
• Build relationships with omnimerch, merchants, dropship, fulfillment, supply chain, customer service, and other business stakeholders to understand current and future trends, anticipate key initiatives, and go-live dates of new products.
• Direct and guide resources across all teams, anticipating backlogs, sharing catch-up plans, and determining ETA of resolution using shared item count projections to accurately staff teams with FTEs and freelance/temp associates if necessary.
• Develop and maintain reporting including throughput volumes, capacities, backlogs, and timelines for project completion.
• Support team leaders through daily operations, ensuring alignment to targets, goals, and resolution on any issues preventing daily workflow.
• Guide, mentor, and develop team members, providing coaching and feedback to help them achieve their career goals.
• Be a point of contact for business-critical escalations, partnering with teams that can correct issues, using excellent communication skills to share updates and next steps.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates to leadership on the health of the teams and operation, sharing issues and solutions.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 8-10 years of experience leading teams, operations management, Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to articulate position and achieve buy-in, solid organizational and inter-personal skills with ability to foster productive relationships at every level
• Creative problem-solving ability and multi-tasking competing priorities, Strong experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of Photo Studio operations, Demonstrated success in change leadership
• Experience working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results
