Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. You will work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Participate in menu planning and catering events as needed.
• Support inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with catering services and menu planning is beneficial.
• Strong knife skills and experience with food preparation techniques are advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
