Position: EMT (all levels)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Division: Anchorage Safety Patrol/Center (ASP/C)

Reports To: Operations Supervisor

OVERVIEW:

Join SALA Medical as an EMT in Anchorage! Make a difference by providing emergency care and support to individuals affected by substance use. Work with a team to transport and monitor clients, ensuring compassionate and effective service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide medical care in the field and the Anchorage Safety Center.
• Transport clients safely and respectfully.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment.
• Use de-escalation techniques and document accurately.
• Participate in training and team activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• EMT Certification (EMT I or higher).
• Strong communication skills and compassion for our clients.
• Basic computer skills and ability to handle stress.
• Flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with substance use and mental health issues.
• Training in de-escalation and CPR/First Aid.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Capable of physical tasks and working in various conditions.
• Pass drug screen and background check.
