Position: EMT (all levels)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Division: Anchorage Safety Patrol/Center (ASP/C)
Reports To: Operations Supervisor
OVERVIEW:
Join SALA Medical as an EMT in Anchorage! Make a difference by providing emergency care and support to individuals affected by substance use. Work with a team to transport and monitor clients, ensuring compassionate and effective service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide medical care in the field and the Anchorage Safety Center.
- Transport clients safely and respectfully.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment.
- Use de-escalation techniques and document accurately.
- Participate in training and team activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- EMT Certification (EMT I or higher).
- Strong communication skills and compassion for clients.
- Basic computer skills and ability to handle stress.
- Flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with substance use and mental health issues.
- Training in de-escalation and CPR/First Aid.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of physical tasks and working in various conditions.
- Pass drug screen and background check.
