Job Description:
- Directly supervise all the sanitation staff and ensure they are fully trained in carrying out their task and have full understanding of the food safety compliances. This includes managing the schedules of all the sanitation staff.
- Maintain and update the Master Sanitation Program.
- Check and verify that every sanitation job is correctly carried out and completed. This will include signing off the SSOP forms at end of sanitation. (All completed SSOPs forms must be uploaded on the Sanitation file after weekly sanitation).
- Train all Sanitation staff to correctly use of the sanitation chemicals Inc. concentration of the chemicals (All staff to be trained annually on chemical usage and sanitation).
- Develop the labor model for equipment and process to determine the right head count for Equipment and Sanitation Process
- Manage the Sanitation budget and industrial plant cleaning and production supply items. (Gloves, smocks, aprons, sleeves, aprons)
- Maintain cleanliness in compliance with quality control procedures, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations to ensure the highest standards of food safety.
- Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, face masks, and other safety gear, as mandated by OSHA and Company policies.
- Adapt to changing demands and meet daily performance goals.
- 3 years of Food Manufacturing Sanitation Management experience is required and a strong knowledge of industry’s best practices for food safety, and sanitation.
- A strong knowledge of food safety regulations; good communication skills and able to manage and train staff to achieve the high sanitation standards in the facility.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Perform many job duties in refrigerated conditions (35-40°F) for extended periods.
- Follow all safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and OSHA regulations.
- Safely lift, carry, push, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Remain on feet for the majority of the shift while performing repetitive motions, including reaching, bending, and twisting, as required.
