Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced and safety-focused Zipline Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our zipline adventure course. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining equipment, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for outdoor adventure.
Key Responsibilities :
Operations & Safety Management :
Oversee daily zipline operations, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Develop and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe experience for guests and staff.
Conduct routine inspections of zipline courses, platforms, cables, and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs of zipline structures and gear.
Monitor weather conditions and make real-time decisions regarding course operations.
Ensure staff members are properly trained in emergency procedures, first aid, and guest safety.
Staff Leadership & Training :
Recruit, hire, train, and manage zipline guides and operational staff.
Provide ongoing training on safety procedures, equipment handling, and customer service.
Schedule shifts and manage team performance to ensure efficiency and high-quality guest experiences.
Conduct staff meetings and safety briefings regularly.
Guest Experience & Customer Service :
Ensure guests receive excellent service and an unforgettable adventure.
Address customer concerns, feedback, and incident reports professionally.
Develop guest engagement strategies to enhance the overall experience.
Administrative & Financial Duties :
Manage budgets, expenses, and operational costs.
Track and report on performance metrics, including safety records and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to promote zipline tours and special events.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in adventure tourism, outdoor recreation, or zipline operations management.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
Leadership experience with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physically capable of handling equipment, climbing platforms, and working outdoors in various conditions.
Certification in First Aid, CPR, and zipline operations (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Skills :
Experience in ropes course management, rock climbing, or similar high-adventure activities.
Knowledge of environmental conservation and eco-tourism.
Familiarity with scheduling software and operational management tools.
