What You'll Do
Hands-On Experience : Master the art of creating exquisite cakes, pastries, garnishes, ice creams, and baked goods for our restaurant, banquet, and offsite catering.
Station Rotation : Learn and excel at each station within our pastry department.
Shadow Program : Gain insights by shadowing various food and beverage departments, including Harriman’s, Gold Cup Wine Bar, In-Room Dining, and Banquets.
Management Classes : Attend classes organized by our HR department to develop essential luxury industry management skills.
Book Report & Analysis : Read a provided book and write a one-page analysis to discuss with HR at the end of your internship.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare and present pastry items for buffet, banquet, and restaurant use.
Set up, run, and break down lunch and dinner plating stations.
Ensure the highest quality and consistency in all baked goods.
Maintain proper storage and rotation of pastry items to ensure freshness.
Requirements
Must be enrolled in a culinary / pastry school program requiring an internship / externship for graduation.
Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
Available to work weekends and holidays
Reliable transportation is a must.
