POSITION OBJECTIVE
Oversee the daily operations of our Sports and Racquet Club. The position will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional member experience, managing staff, overseeing facility maintenance and implementing programs to drive growth and retention.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversee the daily operations of the sports and racquet club, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.- Develop and implement programs and activities to engage members and attract new members.
- Manage and lead a team of trainers and support staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service and member satisfaction.
- Oversee facility maintenance and ensure all sports equipment and courts are in excellent condition.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Assistance in coordinating tournaments, leagues, and special events to enhance member engagement.
- Enforce club policies, rules, and safety protocols.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, and suppliers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.- Proven experience in managing a sports facility, club, or similar environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of racquet sports, fitness, general wellness and croquet is a plus.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Experience in event planning and program development.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sports club management or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in using club management software
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in sports facilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members, staff, and external partners.
- A passion for sports and fitness with a commitment to promoting an active lifestyle.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs, talking, hearing, and seeing.
- This role requires working in both office and sports facility environments.
- Frequent interaction with club members, staff, and external partners.
- Regular physical activity, including walking, standing, and overseeing club operations.
- Occasional lifting of sports equipment and supplies.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
