Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Development or other related discipline or 5 years industry experience.

In This Role, You Will
- Implement strategies that influence clients to buy services and equipment. Determine if the customer, technology, execution strategy and project is a good fit for the client and our business.
- Lead in the customization and addition of new customer solutions as determined by analyzing business needs and end user requests.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain our products and services to prospective clients.
- Gather technical information, estimate costs, produce proposals and lead the execution of approved work streams and tasks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with other engineers to evaluate needs for robotic and automation equipment, resources and tools that will support product development.
- Conduct on-site evaluations of customer facilities. Engage with key stakeholders to develop clear problem statements and/or automation goals and make recommendations for improving existing systems and processes.
- Review development and industry publications, online materials and related coursework to remain up to date with current and future technologies needed to be part of a market leading company.
- Perform research and development tasks to plan and create new solutions that fulfill customer needs.
- Act as the primary contact for technical peer / trade organizations to which our company belongs.
- Work directly with project engineers to translate customer requirements into clear project specifications, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to execution and maximum customer satisfaction.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Development or other related discipline or 5 years industry experience.
Skills
- Technical skills: principles of engineering, computer skills, data analysis
- Interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships, understand different perspectives, navigate social and professional settings effectively
- Communication Skills: ability to break down complex technical topics to convey information to clients, document information, write reports and proposals
- 5 years in packaging, converting, material handling, food/beverage or custom automation equipment
- Experience as an engineering lead for large capital projects
- Experience and knowledge of Safety Control Systems
