Job Summary:
Our growing Raleigh, NC office is seeking an exceptional Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The position focuses primarily on the design of building related projects using Revit.
General Duties:
- Designing plumbing systems for various institutional buildings
- Designing fire protection system for various institutional buildings, designs are typically delegated to the FP contractor.
- Development of system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Preparation of detailed design documents
- Specification writing/editing
- Code compliance research
- Coordinating work with other disciplines
- Site survey to determine and document existing conditions
- Providing construction administration services
Skills:
- Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
- Ability to lead a team and work as a team
- You have knowledge and understanding of codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Leadership Ability and Entrepreneurial spirit
- Proficiency in Revit, and MS Office
- Travel is typically in state with rare overnight stays. Travel expectations are as needed but typically less than 5%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred but not required
- Licensure in North Carolina as a Professional Engineer.
- 5 years of design experience
