The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment and will be responsible for designing building electrical systems and producing construction documentation for commercial projects, higher education, state and local government projects, multi-family housing projects and healthcare projects. Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment and will be responsible for designing building electrical systems and producing construction documentation for commercial projects, higher education, state and local government projects, multi-family housing projects and healthcare projects. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to be part of our firm.
General Duties
- Design of medium and low voltage main electrical systems including main distribution panels, lighting, general power, and fire alarm.
- Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
- Develop electrical system design calculations.
- Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
- Perform QA/QC design work.
- Coordinate with Owners and Architects.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Complete code compliance research.
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Performing site investigations.
- Coordinating with the client, utilities, fire marshal and code enforcement officials.
- Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services.
- Proficient working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and NFPA.
- Proficient working knowledge of Building Codes.
- Excellent work ethic and attitude.
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team.
- Proficient in AutoCad, Revit and MS Office.
- You have a minimum of 10 years design experience as a designer or registered engineer.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- You have experience with electrical systems and projects.
- LEED experience or certification is a plus.
- You are familiar with codes, standards and design guidelines.
