Job Summary:
Our office in Portland, Maine is looking for a Structural Project Engineer to complete design work for buildings in sectors such as Life Sciences, Tech, Civic, Education, Mixed-use, hospitality, Industrial, and Healthcare.
General Duties:
- Produce engineering documents such as reports, calculations, and drawings that are complete and technically accurate.
- Supervise and mentor Staff Engineers and CAD staff.
- Handle interactions with the client regarding technical design issues, coordination of document preparation, and submittal schedules.
- Track project costs, meeting contractual obligations within the stated terms with an emphasis on efficiency.
Qualifications:
- You are licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Maine. We would expect that you can obtain NCEES registration so that, as necessary, other New England State PE certifications may be obtained.
- You have an accredited BS degree in Civil Engineering with completion of relevant coursework in Structural Engineering.
- You have completed a minimum of ten years of engineering experience in the structural engineering field.
- You have experience with steel, concrete, masonry, precast, cold framed metal, and wood-framed design of building structures.
- You have experience with Building Information Modeling (Revit).
- You have experience with relevant structural engineering software such as RAM, RISA, and other similar engineering software packages.
- Periodic project related Travel within New England states will be required.
