Job Description : Indirect Procurement Specialist
Position Overview : An Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the purchasing process of goods and services that are not directly involved in the production of a company’s products but are essential for day-to-day operations. These can include items such as office supplies, IT services, marketing services, utilities, and other business support services. The role involves identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of indirect goods and services.
Key Responsibilities :
Supplier Management :
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for indirect goods and services.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery schedules, or pricing.
Procurement Process :
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying needs, issuing RFQs (Requests for Quotations), evaluating proposals, and placing purchase orders.
Cost Management :
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize value.
Contract Management :
Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts for indirect goods and services.
