JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing complex processes and systems within the organization to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. This role involves analyzing workflows, designing effective processes, and implementing solutions that reduce waste and enhance overall performance. The Industrial Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that best practices are followed and continuous improvement initiatives are realized.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Design and implement effective systems and processes to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Collect and analyze data to assess process performance and identify trends, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational performance and eliminate waste.
- Lead and participate in process improvement projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with company goals.
- Work closely with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process maps.
- Provide training and support to staff on new processes, tools, and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies to support process changes and investments in new technologies or equipment.
- Ensure that all processes comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of industrial engineering experience, particularly in improving production efficiency.
- Proficient in Value Stream Mapping and other process improvement techniques.
- Preferably to have Green Belt certification in Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
- Experience with DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and Kaizen principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and process optimization.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Proficient in engineering software and tools
