SAP / MES Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a SAP/MES Consultant to optimize and support our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and SAP solutions in an electronics manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and integrating SAP modules (PP, MM, QM) and MES platforms to enhance production efficiency, data accuracy, and real-time process monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP ERP, MES systems, and smart factory solutions, with a deep understanding of manufacturing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP/MES System Implementation & Support

• Implement, configure, and maintain SAP (PP, MM) and MES solutions to support manufacturing operations.
• Design and optimize end-to-end production workflows using MES and SAP integration.
• Support real-time data collection, shop floor automation, and production monitoring through MES applications.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless system connectivity between SAP, MES, and IoT devices.

Process Optimization & Data Integration

• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify areas for digital transformation and automation.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation for SAP and MES functionalities.
• Ensure data consistency between ERP, MES, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and SCADA systems.
• Utilize Industry 4.0 technologies, including AI, IoT, and predictive analytics, to enhance production visibility.

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP/MES-related issues.
• Work with production teams to enhance OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and reduce downtime.
• Lead system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to improve system performance.
• Develop and execute training programs for end-users and key stakeholders.

Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Lead SAP/MES implementation and upgrade projects within the manufacturing environment.
• Work closely with production, quality, IT, and supply chain teams to align business needs with system capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, cybersecurity, and IT governance policies.
• Prepare technical reports and dashboards for senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in SAP/MES consulting, implementation, or support in the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PP, MM and integration with MES platforms.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, shop floor automation, and real-time data collection.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or ABAP programming is a plus.
• Experience in Industry 4.0, IoT, and smart factory applications is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
