Salem Academy Charter School (SACS) is a nationally ranked urban charter school north of Boston offering a rigorous college preparatory program to 480 students in grades 6-12. Qualifications

- Experience working with a diverse student body
- Experience teaching high school STEM courses (science, math, and/or computer science)

Responsibilities
- Aligning curricular standards with state guidelines
- Monitoring student progress through standards-based assessments
- Analyzing student data
- Differentiating instruction
- Planning strong lessons aligned with curricular standards
- Teaching 4 classes per day
- Supporting students through assigned tutoring, study hall blocks during the school day
- Planning and leading service learning projects
- Advising students through daily Connections class
- Inputting academic and behavioral data on the school data management system
- Hosting Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences in the fall and communicating regularly with families about academic and social issues
- Building and maintaining strong school culture centered on achievement
- Implementing common academic and behavioral procedures to ensure a structured, respectful, and achievement-oriented school
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the school mission
- Participating in weekly professional development sessions (e.g., Curriculum Teams, workshops)
- Participating in weekly Form Meetings (e.g., grade level teams)
