Job Summary

We are looking for reliable and compassionate Bus Drivers to transport participants to and from our facility, medical appointments, and community outings. As a Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in providing safe, efficient, and comfortable transportation for our participants.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a bus or van following designated routes and schedules
• Assist participants with boarding and exiting, including those using wheelchairs and walkers
• Secure wheelchairs and other mobility aids using proper tie-down systems
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with local and state regulations
• Communicate professionally with participants, families, and staff regarding transportation matters
• Follow all traffic laws, center policies, and safety guidelines to ensure passenger well-being

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience:
• Previous passenger transportation experience preferred (e.g., school bus, senior transport)
• Familiarity with Salem County area is a plus
• Skills:
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to assist participants with mobility challenges
• Reliable, organized, and safety-minded
