STUDENT MINISTRIES DIRECTOR
Principal Function: The Student Ministries Pastor is responsible to the pastor for assisting the church in planning, coordinating and promoting the Sr. High & Jr. High programs of the church including special projects, trips, assignments and events.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the ministerial staff, appropriate committees and program leaders in planning, evaluating and coordinating all Student ministries of the church.
- Recruit, Train, Develop, Lead and consistently Meet with department heads forCrave (Middle School) , Youthloop (Highschool)
- Work with department heads to plan and direct youth & children fellowships, retreats, and special events.
- BigStuf Summer Camp
- Jr. High Camp
- Special events related to Student Ministries
- Develop and Oversight of Discipleship Process
- Connection and Follow-up Process
- Establish and develop an assimilation process for Crave & Youthloop. Train and Educate Department heads on Assimilation process and oversee execution of the process.
- Conduct special training projects for youth & volunteers.
- Crave, YL, quarterly Leader meetings
- Sourcing Conference and leader Materials (Orange)
- Advise in the use of program materials/curriculum, equipment, supplies and space by youth.
- Work with department heads/Volunteers to develop and submit Annual Budget Request to be submitted by February Month End.
- Initial counsel youth and parents as related to baptisms and Sacraments
- Work with social media director to coordinate campaigns for Student Ministry.
- Develop relationships with local school officials and be available to speak and/or visit in the schools.
- Remain informed of current trends in youth education programs and youth culture.
- Review and Select curriculum for teaching and Discipleship
- Speak on Sunday Mornings in the absence of the Sr. Pastor
- Be alert to win the lost and assist both workers and youth in reaching the unreached.
- Perform others duties as assigned by the pastor.
