Your Role With Us:
Registrar- Emergency Dept. Access Services
You will apply your customer service mindset and strong data entry skills, to courteously register and admit patients to receive various Salem Health medical services.
Core Functions:
- Responsible for courteously admitting and/or registering all patients presented for treatment.
- Performs various tasks using Electronic Medical Record system, Epic
- Verifies insurance eligibility utilizing a variety of on-line resources as well as phone verification.
- Follows up on Work queues daily to correct any errors with Registrations.
- Responsible for providing coverage to different areas on a rotating schedule including service areas under Main, Emergency Department, Family Birth Center and West Valley.
- Participates in training of staff.
- Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

Background/Expertise:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related experience preferred.
- Minimum of Two (2) years accounts payable processing experience required.
- Experience with purchase order system REQUIRED.
- Experience with high volume accounts payable preferred.
