Your Role With Us:
EEG Tech- Salem Health Sleep Disorder Center
Primary Functions include:
- Neurodiagnostic Testing & Patient Care – Conducts EEG testing for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring patient identification and proper monitoring.
- Equipment Management – Calibrates, monitors, and troubleshoots equipment, ensuring functionality and reporting failures.
- Data Acquisition & Documentation – Records study data, monitors tracing quality, completes reports for physician interpretation, and documents per protocols.
- Patient Monitoring & Intervention – Observes patient responses, recognizes adverse reactions, and implements therapeutic interventions when needed.
- Education & Confidentiality – Educates patients and families while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
- Resource Utilization & Cost Management – Ensures efficient use of resources, follows research protocols, and accurately processes billing for procedures.
- Scheduling & Coordination – Manages patient scheduling, workflow, and coordination with team members.

Background/Expertise:
Education:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred.
2. Graduate of an accredited school of electroencephalography OR three years recent experience and documented competency in routine Neurodiagnostic procedures.
Experience:
1. Two (2) years recent experience as an EEG technician
Licenses/ Certification/ Registration:
1. BLS certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
2. EEG Technician certification preferred.
