Your Role With Us:
- Verify physician orders for accuracy and compliance prior to transcription of orders.
- Address any order discrepancies by coordinating communication between provider’s office and Salem Health clinical staff.
- Determine if authorization is required, contacting appropriate individuals or insurance company.
- Insurance verification for registration and appointment reimbursement purposes.
- Use of WorkQue, Fax machine, Epic Inbasket, Rightfax (referral fax Outlook mailbox) to transcribe all faxed referrals to Epic appropriately.
- Completes workque assignments within appropriate timeframes.
- Accurately register patients as well as being able to identify payer authorization requirement.

Background/Expertise:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an admitting office, clinic, physician or insurance office performing patient registration and insurance verification required.
- Previous EPIC Prelude and Cadence experience a plus.
- Keyboarding at 45 wpm; Moderate understanding of Medical Terminology and billing codes (ICD-10, CPT) preferred.
