Your Role With Us:
Sterile Processing Tech I-
Using your sharp attention to detail, and organizational skills, you will be responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation assuring the surgical team has what they need to deliver exceptional care.
Decontamination
- Cleans items per standards, maintains workflow, and knows equipment (e.g., ultrasonic washer, steam sterilizer).
- Understands disinfectants and wears appropriate attire for tasks.
Sterilization Preparation
- Uses correct count sheets, indicators, labels, and wrapping techniques.
- Prioritizes and organizes tasks effectively.
Sterilizer Operation
- Operates and monitors sterilizers, runs biological tests, and interprets charts/printouts.
- Reports maintenance issues promptly.
Case Cart Preparation
- Works independently to locate and assemble required items for surgery.
- Scans, organizes, and delivers carts as per department standards.
Instrument Handling
- Identifies and communicates requirements for assembling trays, instruments, and drills.
Work Environment Maintenance
- Ensures a clean, safe environment by recognizing and addressing hazards and initiating necessary repairs.

Background/Expertise:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous Sterile Processing experience desirable.
