Your Role and Team – Acute Care Therapy:
Come join our dynamic and collaborative acute care therapy team that works to empower patients and problem solve barriers to patient success! As a therapy aide, you will work with occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech language pathologists at the bedside in the acute care setting. Other tasks include equipment tracking and cleaning, organizational projects and operational tasks to help keep the department running efficiently and smoothly.
Your Background and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
- Oregon State Board Administrative Rules requires completion of 40 hours of aide-certified training within six (6) months of hire or transfer in order to perform treatment-related tasks.
- Intermediate technological proficiency.
- Oregon State Board of Physical Therapy Licensing Board Administrative Rules requires an aide to be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong organizational and clerical skills. Data entry in Excel, Outlook, and Word preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Previous professional and or volunteer experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
- Must be a team player and have proven success applying team approach to obtain resolution to an issue.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills for working with the rehabilitation team and patients.
- An ability to prioritize and adapt to change while working in a high-volume multidisciplinary setting.
