Your Role With Us:
Prepare foods requiring little or no cooking for patient and non-patient dining. Items include salads, sandwiches, cold desserts, appetizers and garnishes. Produces, portions and stocks preset food items according to established department standards and recipes. We need team members with strong people skills who will be required to be fast, efficient and accurate while having a disciplined approach to clean as you go and safe food handling practices.
Core Functions:
- Preparing and serving items that taste great and are aesthetically pleasing.
- Prep work for production of cold and hot food choices.
- Following recipes and portioning food accurately.
- Keeping your work station clean and uncluttered while following established food safety guidelines.
- Assisting others in Nutrition Services as time permits.
- Ensure patient safety by following hand hygiene and departmental policies.

Background/Expertise:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- No experience required
- Oregon Food Handlers Card required within 30 days of hire
