Description :
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Level 2B Special Care Nursery.
The unit is a 25-bed facility that includes Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care.
There are 2 operating rooms and 2 antepartum rooms with a recovery area.
The clinician-to-patient ratio in Labor & Delivery is 1 : 2-3 for evaluations, and 1 : 1 for active labor, magnesium infusion, or epidural cases.
In the Postpartum unit, the ratio is 1 : 3-4.
The patient population is diverse, covering all scenarios typical for this setting.
The average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor cases.
The charting system used is EPIC.
Rotating shifts are required, with a rotation that includes day shifts and a night call.
However, evening and night shifts do not rotate.
